This Privacy Policy explains how Jiehu processes information when you use the TubeVOC website and the TubeSummary Chrome extension.
Information We Process
Depending on the feature you use, we may process:
- Account information supplied by JIEHU.AI, including your account identifier, email address, language, product plan, and login status.
- Information about the YouTube video you are currently viewing or choose to analyze, including its URL or video ID, title, description, channel information, thumbnail, and available caption languages.
- Captions and transcript segments for the current YouTube video, including text and timestamps. TubeSummary processes caption responses only to provide its subtitle, transcript, summary, and key-insight features.
- Public YouTube comments when you explicitly start Comment Insights in TubeVOC.
- AI-generated summaries, key insights, comment insights, usage counts, and operational records required to provide and protect the service.
- Basic technical and security information, such as browser language, extension version, request time, IP address or a one-way identifier derived from it, and error diagnostics. Caption diagnostics are copied only when you intentionally use the hidden diagnostic action and remain on your device unless you choose to send them.
- Feedback or support messages that you voluntarily send to us.
How We Use Information
- Display and format captions and transcripts for the current YouTube video.
- Generate AI summaries, key insights, and comment insights requested by you.
- Save reusable video transcripts and generated results to avoid repeated processing.
- Authenticate users, apply plan features and daily usage limits, and support logout.
- Prevent abuse, diagnose failures, secure the service, and improve reliability.
- Respond to support and privacy requests.
Chrome Extension Permissions
- YouTube site access is used only to add the TubeSummary interface and process the current video's public metadata and captions.
- Chrome Identity is used only to complete the JIEHU.AI login callback. TubeSummary does not request your Google password or a Google OAuth token directly.
- Chrome local storage is used to store the TubeSummary authentication session and related account state on your device.
- Access to tubevoc.jiehu.ai and api.jiehu.ai is used for authentication, transcript storage, AI processing, quotas, and logout.
TubeSummary does not read unrelated websites, private messages, passwords, browser cookies, or your full browsing history. It does not inject advertising or sell browsing data.
Sharing and Service Providers
We do not sell personal information. We disclose information only as needed to provide the requested features, comply with law, or protect the service. Relevant providers may include JIEHU.AI for account authentication, YouTube for public video content, hosting and database providers, and AI model providers such as DeepSeek for generating requested results. AI providers receive only the content and instructions needed for the requested analysis.
Chrome Web Store Limited Use
The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use extension data only to provide or improve TubeSummary's user-facing purpose, security, and reliability.
Storage, Retention, and Security
Authentication tokens are protected in Chrome local storage and are not written into page URLs or analytics. TubeVOC stores account mappings, transcripts, generated results, quotas, and security records for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, prevent abuse, meet legal obligations, and maintain reliability. We use HTTPS and reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, although no online service can guarantee absolute security.
Your Choices and Requests
You may sign out, uninstall TubeSummary, avoid requesting AI processing, or contact us to request access to or deletion of personal information associated with your account, subject to legal and security retention requirements.

Chrome 扩展权限
- YouTube 网站权限仅用于添加 TubeSummary 界面，并处理当前视频的公开信息和字幕。
- Chrome Identity 仅用于完成 JIEHU.AI 登录回调。TubeSummary 不会直接索取你的 Google 密码或 Google OAuth Token。
- Chrome 本地存储用于在你的设备上保存 TubeSummary 登录 Session 和相关账号状态。
- 对 tubevoc.jiehu.ai 和 api.jiehu.ai 的访问用于登录、字幕保存、AI 处理、额度和退出。
